It's almost time for........ COLDS!!!
Yep, that's right.... with weather changing, the potential for a cold is VERY high!! So, since there is, "no cure for the common cold", I thought I'd ask all of my friends to share their wisdom....
 What is YOUR favorite remedy/home treatment/comfort when you have a cold?? What relieves some of your symptoms? :headscrat What is effective to send your cold packing??? :asta:

For me...just eating a lot of fruit particularly oranges......making sure I get my Vitamin C..I would take the Halls "candy" with Zinc and Vitamin C and use that as an alternate hard candy....but mostly just eating healthy helps...
Now if you were talking to my younger brother...His remedy is to avoid Thanksgiving since he ALWAYS would get sick for the holiday....though last year was an exception..he had 4 wisdom teeth removed two days before so he was just in pain for change...:D

I love the vaporizer with the vicks added to it.
I also use breathright strips durring the night to help me breath easier. They have been a lifesaver this pregnancy since I got a horrid cold durring my first trimester which is too early to take sudafed according to my OB.

Ooo..wish I had thought about the breatheright strips....I had a cold the night I had Jacob...and I remember when the doctor told me to breathe through my nose...I told him.."I don't mind doing that if he didn't mind having cold snot all over him....."....

hahaha. I especially like the ones with vicks added to them. You wouldn't believe how much they help, even if they do look a little silly.
