Ok-Not the most pleasant question to be asking, but here goes...
I had hemorrhoid surgery 3 months ago. Fun, fun. Everything I've read says the normal recovery time is 2-4 weeks, 6 weeks tops. Well, I didn't have any problems after the surgery (except pain the first week, which is understandable, and I had medication for that)--No BM problems or bleeding or anything out of the ordinary. I was told that my stitches would dissolve on their own. But about two and half weeks after the surgery, I found a knotted stringin my toilet paper. I assumed that that was just where a stitch disolved and fell out.
Well, the last week or so, I've been having a lot of itching and burning and tight feelings. No problems with BM's or anything, but I'm really starting to wonder if maybe all the stitches didn't dissolve, or if Maybe the recovery time is longer than what I've been reading.
Does anyone know?
