Okay, it's official. I have a cold. Genie and Kim were right. At least my ear isn't bothering me a much or I am distracted by my clogged head. What can a pregnant woman take for a cold? I have been just vaporizing and that's it which is only doing marginal good.

Hey Grace! You know I am not the nurse but my doctor says it is fine to take Sudafed. I have been suffering through a cold also. Hope you feel better soon.

Well, there's not much I can do about it now. Steve's taking the car all day to work and we're supposed to have a blizzard today, tonight, and tomorrow. I was just wondering what I could do once I was no longer snowed in.

You might want to check before you take sudafed with your high BP they would never let me take it when I was pregnant. If you nose is stuffy you can try running a vaporizer or getting salt water drops for your nose. They work great and you can use them when the baby comes if she has a runny nose too.

Yep, with hypertension, I would contact your OB/GYN's office, remind them of the high BP & ask what they'd recommend. I'm certain that you'd need a decongestant, just for the simple fact it will help reduce the pressure in your ear, or at the minimum, get rid of the yucky fluid feeling! :yuck: I'd also ask, but I'm sure you could use Tylenol (acetominophen) for pain or headache.

Humidify, push fluids, rest, salt water drops, chicken soup and a big  from all of your Baby U friends!! Always good remedies!

Good luck, sweetie! Hope you feel better soon!
