Preasure in my ear

A couple of months ago I had a head cold, but my right ear is still stuffy. About a week ago I took Sutafed (sp?) to try to clear it up but that didn't work, just made me sleepy. Sometimes it hurts a little, but mostly it's just aggrivating.
Does anyone know of something I can do that is safe for the babies?

Any type of decongestant -- approved by your MD - would work to decrease the pressure in the ear. A warm "hot water bottle" could help too... sometimes warm, moist heat will help... at least it does for me. Hope you feel better soon, Heather. :hugs2:

Thanks Tara. I think I will try the Sutifed again tonight. (My OB said it was okay to take) It doesn't hurt right now but it sounds like I am under water and I can hear my pulse! It's weird! (And aggrivating.)
Between my ear and my belly burning, I think I need to be pampered. :D It's not going to happen though, Gary accidently cut some wires today while working on the house and now the phone doesn't work so he is trying to fix it.
But my day could be worse! ;)

I had that too a couple of months ago. Eventually, it went away on it's own. I was aggrivating my condition by cleaning my ear thoroughly several times a day. :hug: I know it's very irrating.

Oh oh! :hmm: I've been sticking QTips in my ear to try to get whatever fluid that is in there out. Of course it hasn't worked, but I still try. Maybe that's my problem.

:lol: Sorry to laugh, but my dh took one look in my ear and said, "These are the cleanest ears I have even seen. Now stop that. It's causing an irration and you're making it worse." Less than a week after I stopped cleaning my ear so much, it healed up. I noticed an improvement right away - probably within a day of stopping cleaning my ear with Q-tips.
