Terrible Back Ache...Help!

I have a terrible ache in my lower back in the area of my kidneys. I also feel sick to my stomach. I've been drinking lots of water hoping that might help.

I was going to go to WebMD to look for suggestions to make it feel better, but I have no idea what the problem might be to look up. Any ideas??

I forgot to add that it hurts on both sides. It's not a muscle type backache.

I was going to say sounds like a kidney infection too..you may want to get checked out

Yep sounds like a kidney infection. My DD gets them all the time.

I called our hospital's call-a-nurse line last night, and she suggested that I go to the er and get checked. They did a urinalysis, x-ray and blood test, but couldn't find anything unusual. The doctor said it could be a muscle ache or a residual ovulation pain. He gave me a prescription for Naproxen. This morning it doesn't hurt nearly as bad as it did yesterday.
