For about 2 weeks now I have been having terrible shooting pain in my left heel and as long as I got shoes on its ok. But my feet start to sweat and I can't stand to wear shoes for too long...all week I have been keeping shoes on all day because of the FLYlady thing we are doing but after awhile they start to hurt nayway....just not as soon as if I didn't wear shoes....what could be causing this and should I see a dr? I asked mty dr in Jan but due to something that I did (removed my sons from her practise...long story) she walked out on me and now I can't find a dr that I feel comfortable with I'm waiting on a friend to call me back to give me her drs number anyway can you help just a little like what I can do in the meantime....I am limping around alot oh and withthe pain my foot feels like its on fire that's why i hate to wear shoes all the time.

Thanks!

Now the pain has moved to the top of my foot(still pain in the heel) and it feels like somethings rubbing inside....I have it wrapped right now and wearing shoes does not help anymore.

Rebecca, don't wait for Kim to get back to you, that is not normal by a long shot, go and see a doctor today before you get permenant irreversible damage. You don't want to feel like that for the rest of your life, GO, ring them NOW and make an appointment, then let us know what they said, I'll be checking when I get home from work.

OK, i DON'T EVEN REMEMBER DOING ANYTHING TO MY FOOT, GUESS I'LL call my old dr because I don't have a new one yet.

Thanks.

Sometimes it doesn't have to be a big thing. I have been in pain for weeks bc I managed to sprain the ligament that joins the front of my foot with my heel (I think that is what he said, the one that runs under your instep anyway). HOW: driving the car to work, that is all it took. There was no OUCH that hurt moment, it just started to get sore and got worse and worse. They can't do anything about mine but I sure hope that yours is fixable.

NO problem Kim, I just have crappy insurance and I didn't want to go in but this morning I couldn't walk down the stairs so I called the dr....hopefully its nothing bad. I can handle a sprained tendan or something like like but I can't handle a broken foot.....anyways will let you all know when I get home.

Kinda sounds like a bone spur, Rebecca - but you need to get seen ASAP !!

I'm glad you got it seen to :D Can they fix a bone spur?? Does wearing proper support shoes reduce it, or make it go away???

I hope the pain goes away soon :bawling: No more bare feet :bawling:

Well, the dr said that it is small enough that if I take good care of my feet and wear the proper shoes...that means no sandals too that stinks!!! that I won't have to have surgery, she put me on an anti inflammatory pill to take when it hurts and if that don't work she wants to put a huge horse needle no exageration into my foot to "kill" the pain. So I sure hope it goes away so that don't happen I've heard stories about it and I don't want it done:eek:

I am glad that you went before it got any worse. I hope the pills and "proper"shoes work to get it feeling fine again.
